Aloo.............

After a summer vacation of about 75 days i came back to roorkee...the train journey from hyderabad to delhi was good but from delhi to roorkee the train was crowded and no one cares to check the tickets and people sit where ever they want......and it was also kawad season....so it was even more crowded....after getting down quickly at the roorkee railway station (as the train halts for a couple of minutes only)and taking a rickshaw to rajendra bhawan...i was in deep thought thinking about what they were going to serve today in mess....thinking about the mess the first thing to strike my mind was...ALOO.....before coming to iit roorkee i never though that many varieties can be made out of aloo...whenever i go home my mom asks me what to cook i say "anything but aloo".....i used to like aloo a lot....it was one of my favourite...i used to like aloo fry a lot.....now i realise that i didnt ask my mom to make it that often coz it had aloo in it....the first day when i went to the mess to eat dinner i was hoping against hope that there would be no aloo....but to my utter disappointment there it was......huge aloo pieces in some orangish gravy(refer to pic above)
.....i had no other option but to put it in my plate along with 2 different varieties of dals and there was something special that day too a fried karela.....yes u read it right a fried karela.....
first they put some stuffing into it and then dipped it in some paste(mixture of water and some flour)and then deep fried in oil.....once i had visited the great kitchen of our mess......dat night i could not sleep....everything was so filthy and crude....dey did not hav the cutting edge technology in the messes atleast......they tell they have it in their departments don't know about that but definitely not in the messes....having eatin another meal of aloo n chapati i walk back to my room thinking what will be my situation at the end of four yrs of aloo diet.....???will i ever want to eat aloo again???if the messes in iit roorkee r supposed to be the best among all iits then what is the situation of people in other iits?????....and will i be able to sleep tonite with all these thoughts in my head.......?????T
his is my first blog s ppl plz giv me some advice and after reading it plzzzzz comment and tell me how i can make it better.........

finally...

There r so many thoughts in my mind and i wanted to expresss them in my blog.....created this in jan 2006....but did not do anything productive on this...so now finally i've written something on it....that is why i am happy.....this shows how lazy i am......hope i will keep blogging regularly....
